Beaded Cherry Shirt

This is a fun gift idea – I made one for my best friend’s birthday. There are so many cute things you can bead – I choose cherries because she likes them, but think flowers, Snoopy, a fairy, fruit, smiley faces, yin yang symbol, etc! Sometimes when I’m looking for symbol and little drawing ideas, I search for “flash tattoos” on Pinterest. :)

How To

Step 1

Draw your shape onto the shirt. I recommend putting the shirt on and then drawing it using a mirror, otherwise it might stretch weird if you just draw it on flat.

Step 2

Thread your needle, then pick up a bead with the needle and thread it back through the shirt. I found it helpful to dump some beads into a shallow little bowl so I could just scoop up a bead with the needle. Repeat a million times! I’m not kidding, it’s a slooow process, but you can do it while watching tv, etc.

Tip: Use different bead shades of the same color to create some dimension.

Voila!
